Tool #4: Google Docs

Google Docs is a very interesting thing. We have used it to collaborate in order to create presentations for district trainings, to create a form to get information quickly from all teachers (college pennants), and to have students collaborate on work. Google Docs works well because it works across all platforms and we have access to them any place we may be.  Students are able to share writing, research, and knowledge across classes, courses, and even schools. It is also beneficial as a teacher because I can see exactly who did what and "losing" work is much more difficult.  I am working summer school this year and am excited to be able to show students all aspects of google docs in order to foster collaboration.
